Kogi Gov’ship: Olayinka Braimoh Emerges AA Candidate

A real estate developer, Mr. Olayinka Braimoh, has emerged governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) for the November 11th gubernatorial election in Kogi state.

Braimoh scored 102 votes to defeat his opponent, Simon Aku, who polled four votes.

Announcing the results after the primary election held at Reverton Hotel Lokoja, the Chairman of Kogi State Electoral Committee, James Benebe said Braimoh, having scored the highest votes, is declared winner of the primary election.

One of the Aspirants, Haruna Adah Sylvester stepped had stepped down for Mr. Braimoh, saying he believes in his outstanding leadership qualities.

In his acceptance speech, the AA Governorship Candidate thanked God, national and state leaderships of the party as well as supporters for the confidence reposed in him, assuring that he will not disappoint them.

According to him, his emergence is the beginning of a journey to wealth creation and happiness for the people of the state.

He pointed out that if voted into power he will use the resources of the state for wealth creation and distribution for the people.

Mr. Braimoh expressed optimism that with the support of Kogi people, he will deliver on the mandate given him.

The election was conducted free and credible and it was monitored my security agencies and representatives of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
