Information from sure source said the meeting of medical students with the school management was just a threat meeting. Some statements, if recorded, is enough to implicate all the staff who attended the meeting, especially the Vice Chancellor.

What people don’t understand is that building a teaching hospital cannot give accreditation, the teaching hospital must be well staffed. The last time the teaching hospital open for employment no body applied, so, all this ploy to get the governor to sign and release money for a teaching hospital is just a way to fill their pockets.

I can prove to anyone that what is needed for full accreditation is not up to  400 million naira, but they have jerked up this figure to about 1.7 billion naira.

I advise the students to try and meet with the governor himself. All this channel to the governor is what is making matters worse.

I know Governor Yahaya Bello loves the medical students, he paid all the fees to transfer the first set. This amount is about 60 million naira. I know the governor is committed but the advisers are not doing their job. N60 million will have been enough to sign MoU with Federal Medical Center, Lokoja and in conjunction with the state specialist hospital. The aim is to for Kogi to graduate its own medical student and this aim was defeated when the indigenous student were transferred to another state.

I will beg the governor to listen to what the student have to say themselves. A lot is in place to shot this student up. These students are now product of mockery. As we speak, all those advocating for the upgrade of the diagnostic hospital don’t have children in the said medical school. I am aware of some of these principals who transferred their wards to private university because of what they are cooking up.

Your Excellency, we wish you quick recovery. May the almighty God continue to give you wisdom to handle the affairs of this state. You are God sent to this generation and I know too well that you won’t allow the wickedness of these so-called elders to prevail.
