The non-payment of salaries has no bound that even the high also cry for same salary issue.

Recently, the deputy governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba, has to threaten the government of Kogi State over non payments of salaries and allowances due to him as the deputy governor of the state.

The non-payment of his salaries has now thrown the state into ridicule and shame in the eyes of the world, hence some workers being dubbed as ghost workers, clear list, unclear list just to justify the government’s inability to pay their monthly wages, despite various interventions by PMB government to salvage the plight of workers throughout the country.

When Governor Yahaya Bello assumed office in 2016, there were high hopes that Kogi would witness giant strides on all facets of life, but all those hopes came to nought based on poor governance in the state and non-payment of salaries to Kogi workers.

The case of the deputy governor has further worsened the case of non-payment of salaries in the state.

We hope the coming election of 16 November 2019 could right the wrongs Kogi State is facing now and take the state to high a level of governance that it is lacking all this while. Kogi shall rise again
