The Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District in the national assembly, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Salau Ogembe has urged the members of Kogi State house of assembly to come together and resolve their difference in the interest of progress and development of kogi state saying no meaningful progress can be made with the current crises rocking the state house of assembly.

The Senator made the passionate appeal when two members of Kogi state assembly; Hon. Abdulkareem Kekere and Elder Friday Sanni Makama paid him a courtesy visit at his National Assembly Office.

“The Governor is working so hard to reposition the state as a model for development among comity of states and we owe him support in the interest of our State. It is normal to experience this type disagreement as legislators with different background and beliefs but our ability to come out of it more united is what is important. The current logjam will not take us anywhere so am appealing to you to resolve all the grey areas” the Senator said.

The leaders of Kogi state house of assembly said they were at the Senators office to consult him as the leader of PDP in the state.

Earlier the newly appointed caretaker chairman of Ogori/magongo local government area, Hon. Moses Akande also paid a courtesy visit to the senator. Issues relating to the welfare of his people were discussed and the Senator assured the chairman that no area will be left out in his developmental agenda for Kogi Central Senatorial District and urged the new Administrators to work with the Governor to actualize his vision.
