The Ijumu Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has endorsed Hon. Salman Idris, who represents Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, as its preferred candidate in the January 16, 2027 National Assembly election.
The council announced the endorsement at a meeting held at Naomi Hotel in Okoro-Gbede. During the event, it also presented campaign materials to the lawmaker in support of his re-election bid.
Chairman of the council, Comrade Sunday Felix Bature, said Idris had performed beyond expectations and that his representation had met the aspirations of the people of the constituency.
Bature said the lawmaker deserved another term in office. He urged constituents to weigh Idris’s record of performance as he seeks re-election.
Responding, Idris thanked the youth leaders for the endorsement and for the campaign materials, which he described as an encouragement.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting young people and to sustaining his engagement with them, and assured the group of his continued support.
