The executive governor of Kogi State, captain Idris Wada submitted an 18-man list of would be commissioners to the State House of Assembly six months after assumption of office.

The House swung into action immediately by acknowledging receipt of the names on wednesday and then went ahead to announce the House’s intention to commence screening the next day, thursday.

Many had thought the honorable will take their time to screen each of the nominees and allow the general public acquaint themselves with the team that will in no small way after their individual destinies. But towing same line as the previous House during Alhaji Ibrahim Idris’ tenure, the assemblymen shocked Kogites by concluding the screening of the 18 nominees all in a day – in fact in few hours.

While Kogites are yet to know the full credentials of the men and women who will formulate policies and implement projects that will have either positive or negative impact their lives, they take solace in the fact that general wish of the masses to see new faces is done by Wada.
