A business tycoon and community leader, Omotayo Adeleye Ishaya has declared her intention to contest 2019 Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu House of Representatives election.

Omotayo declared her interest in the race when she submitted her letter of intent at a meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) wards and local government chairmen.

Addressing the party leadership, she said: “it became expedient for me to join the race for the House of Representatives race having visited communities that made up the constituency and conducted a research through the administration of questionnaire on the needs of the constituency and constituents.

“I was raised to respect and take care of our elders, even as I care for the children and less privileged. This is what I am taking to the legislature as I return the dividends of democracy to Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.”

Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu APC party executives, led by the Kogi State Youth Leader, Hon. Emmanuel Ayodele – Arewa, unanimously endorsed Hon. Omotayo Adeleye Ishaya’s aspiration.

The Iffe/Ikoyi/Okejumu APC Ward Chairman said it is time for Omotayo to reap the good gestures she has extended to the ward, noting that the endorsement was coming on the heels of her selfless community and humanitarian services, contributions and support to the All Progressive Congress.

“We have seen her character and commitment, not just on the trail, but over the course of her entire life. We have seen her dedication to public service. She has not spent a lot of time learning the ways of our politics, but she has been in the system long enough to know that our scope of politics must be changed and the time has come to usher in a new birth of liberty, good representation and development.”

Mrs. Omotayo also visited the Chairman of APC elders forum led by Chief Olusco and promised good representation, legislation and dividend of democracy when elected.
