The immediate past Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, has described the death of late Governor, Isiaka Adeleke, as a loss to the politics of South West in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
Awoniyi in a condolence message signed by Abu Michael, described the late Senator as a man who was passionate about the Nigeria, said he contributed to the expansion of progressive politics in the south west.
He added that the former governor would be remembered for peace, being a detribalized politician who was loved by his people for his meaningful impact.
Awoniyi, while praying for God to console the immediate and extended family, urged his political followers to accept the death of the late politician as shocking and surprising, urged them to be consoled by the fact that he was a thorough breed politician whose passion for development knows no bound.
He counseled politicians to learn the virtues of humility, and development of the masses as exemplified by the late politician, said late Adeleke, was courteous, compassionate and accessible, played politics without class and envy.
The former Deputy Governor prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased, eternal rest, and grant the government and people of Osun State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
