Chairman, Kogi state chapter of the United Labour Congress (ULC), Comrade Simeon Opaluwa has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for increasing the salary of officers of the Nigerian Police Force.
In a press statement issued in Lokoja on Tuesday, Opaluwa stated that gesture will motivate policemen to curb crimes with improved efficiency.
The labour leader, however, called on the President to take the bold step in sending the recommendation of thirty thousand Naira minimum wage for civil servants by the tripartite committee to the National Assembly for passage into law.
