The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Prof. Stephen Ocheni and the Administrator, Igalamela-Odolu local government area, Hon. Patrick Onogu have restated their commitments to intensify close collaboration for the development of Igalamela-Odolu local government area.
This was part of resolutions reached after a courtesy visit to the minister by the Igalamela/Odolu Administrator in Abuja on Wednesday.
Hon. Onogu appreciated the minister’s efforts towards the development of the local government.
He noted that: “Prof. Ocheni has continued to demonstrate his commitment to the development of Igalamela/Odolu local government area as evident in the ongoing construction of a skill acquisition and employment centre at Uwowo.
“This commendable effort and many others being undertaken by the Hon. Minister, will go on to empower hundreds and create more jobs for productive youths in the area”.
He further applauded the Minister for ‘keeping close ties’ with the people at the people and members of the APC at the grassroots “as this will contribute to ensuring that the victory of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello in the November 2nd election in Kogi State and guarantee that the governor remains in office beyond 2020 to continue the marvelous job he is doing for the people of the state.
“The present Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Council under my leadership is imbued with determination to make a difference in the governance of the local government. Prof. Ocheni is an honourable person and I am proud to be his ally for sustainable growth and development of Igalamela/Odolu local government area” he added.
Prof. Ocheni, in his remark, commended Hon. Onogu and reiterated his willingness to intensify his collaboration with the Administrator for the good of the people.
He also commended Hon. Onogu and the entire people of Igalamela-Odolu local government area for their overwhelming support for the APC, President Muhamadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, “as demonstrated in the results recorded by the APC in the Presidential, National and State Assembly elections in which the party coasted to victory in all the elections conducted in the local government”.
He enjoined them to sustain their faith in Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello ahead of the November 2nd to ensure that the applaudable development efforts of the Governor are sustained.
