Today, I join countless admirers, friends, associates, and well-wishers across Nigeria in celebrating a truly remarkable woman, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim Abubakar, fondly known as Aunty Zee, as she marks another blessed year of life.
This birthday is even more special because it comes at a defining moment in your public service journey, following your nomination as the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate for Taraba State in the 2027 general election. It is a recognition of your years of sacrifice, loyalty, competence, and unwavering commitment to the growth of our great party and the empowerment of women across Nigeria.
As the Deputy National Woman Leader of the APC and Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Gombe, you have distinguished yourself as a leader whose influence is measured not only by the positions you occupy but by the countless lives you have touched with kindness and generosity.
To me, your kindness is deeply personal.
When I informed you that I would be performing Hajj this year, you did not hesitate. With your characteristic smile, you simply said, “I am going to give you dollars.” True to your word, you did. What may have appeared to others as a simple gesture became the spark that inspired many others to support my journey. You opened the floodgates of generosity, and before long, others followed your example. I will forever remain grateful for that act of kindness, which reflected the beauty of your heart.
