Koton Karfe: Senator Karimi Delivers Another Landmark Education Intervention Project

On Friday, 18th September 2026, Koton Karfe witnessed another milestone as the Infrastructure Upgrade Project at Government Science Secondary School, Koton Karfe, facilitated through the efforts of Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, was officially handed over.

The project is more than infrastructure; it is an investment in children, knowledge and the future of Kogi West.

The National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC) acknowledged Senator Karimi’s contribution to the successful delivery of the project, describing it as an important intervention aimed at improving the learning environment for students, teachers and the wider school community.

At the ceremony, Senator Karimi was represented by Rtd. Commodore Funsho Daniel. The representative of the National Secretary of NSSEC, the representative of the Ohimege Igu of Koton Karfe, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu, the school principal and other speakers applauded Senator Karimi’s contributions to educational development in the community.

The Koton Karfe project also adds to the wider education focused interventions associated with Senator Karimi, including reported scholarship, bursary and educational support initiatives.

Every improved school facility creates a better environment for learning. Every investment in education strengthens the human capital upon which the future of Kogi State depends.

For the students of Government Science Secondary School, Koton Karfe, the project is not simply a political statement it is a physical facility that can shape their educational journey and future.

Koton Karfe has witnessed another milestone in education. The legacy is now in the infrastructure, the learning and, ultimately, in the lives of the students who will benefit from it.
