Gov. Bello’s Visit and Gesture is to Motivate You for Selfless Service in Kogi State – Abel Tells NYSC Corps Members

An aspirant for the Kogi State House of Assembly, Mopamuro seat, Abel Olushola Julius has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his gesture towards NYSC corp members posted to the state.
The Governor, in his usual magnanimity, gave each of the 1,981 corps members N10,000.00 each and also announced that they will be paid monthly stipend of N5,000.00 each.
Abel stated that the Governor’s gesture is to motivate the corps members for efficient and selfless service in the state.
He extolled Governor Bello, adding that his attendance has further confirmed his resolve in prioritising ‘youth affairs’ in the state.
“Governments of respective state in the country need to take after Gov. Yahaya Bello by revisiting the good old days, where corps members are cherished for better delivery of selfless service,” Abel said.
He also charged the corps members to heed to the advise of the Governor and the orientation acquired in camp for their personal development and their respective community of service.
The accommodating people of Kogi State were also asked to expand their hospitality towards the corps members as they arrive their Places of Primary Assignments.
The closing ceremony of 2018 Batch B, Stream I National Youths Corps Service (NYSC) members who were deployed to Kogi State held on Monday, August 13 at the NYSC camp ground, Asaya, Kabba-Bunu Local Government, Kogi State.
The ceremony which had the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahya Bello and other dignitaries across the State in attendance.
