Gov. Bello is on a Mission to Liberate Kogi State – Asiwaju

Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Asiwaju Idris Asiru has described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a change agent who is committed to fairness and equity.
Asiwaju, who is the alternate chairman, Kogi State Economic Committee, made this known when the Okun Youths for GYB paid him a familiarisation visit on Thursday.
He explained to the visiting youths that Gov. Bello is on a mission to liberate the economy of Kogi State. He noted that so far, the State Governor has shown that he is just leader with the fair and equal distribution of positions and resources across the state.
Julius Olushola Abel, while delivering his welcome speech, said the main reason for the visit is to familiarise with the Commissioner, make known to him the intention of the group and seek for his support.
Abel said the group is on a mission to take the good news of the Governor to all nooks and crannies of Okun land.
He lamented that people at the grassroots are not well informed about the performances and plans of the New Direction administration for a better Kogi State.
Abel added that the group is also out to seek for more programmes, empowerment and assistance to aid the life of an average Okun youth. He said this will enhance selling the good deeds of the New Direction to the people.
Ola Adekunle added that the group is out to support the effort of the New Direction officials from Okun Land to intensify campaign for Governor Yahaya Bello with captivating and winning strategies.
In response, the Commissioner lauded the effort of the youths to come together for the said goal and appreciates their steadfastness.
He asked the youths to desist from all form ‘pull him down’ tactics, charging them to be focused, prayerful, patient and peaceful in all their conduct.
He asked them not engage in fights or quarrels with whoever is having a different political opinion, rather be at peace with them and endeavour to win them over.
The Commissioner also asked the youths to use their brains by thinking inwards to assist the government in the economy liberation of the state.
Other members of the delegation who spoke for the need for peace and decorum are; Sunday Paul, Femi Israel Alonge and Jacob Abraham Damilare.
Victor Anjorin appreciates the Commissioner for always extending his benevolence to Okun Youths whenever he is called upon.
Other members of the delegation are; Oloruntoba Moses Juwon, Olowosegun Raymond, Aina Oladipupo Michael, Adeola Michael and Barikin Christopher.
Eniola Olayemi, Ismail Oriyomi Mustapha, Amos Ojo, Olusanmi Olayinka and Leke Idris are also part of the delegation.
