Founder, Kogi Liberation Movement Emerges ASUU Chairperson, Federal University Kashere Chapter

The founder, Kogi Liberation Movement, Comrade Salihu Adam Jiddah, has emerged chairperson of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Federal University of Kashere Gombe State chapter.

Comrade Salihu was elected to lead the union on Thursday.

With his emergence, the Kogi-born lecturer becomes the second elected chairperson of the FUK chapter of ASUU.

Speaking after his emergence, Comrade Salihu thanked the congress for the trust and support. He promised to be a unifier.

He also pledged to initiate projects and programs that will further strengthen the union.

Comrade Salihu Adam Jiddah hails from Okabo, Ofu LGA of Kogi state. He attended LGEA Okabo for his primary school, OICSS Ofolikpa and Government Day Secondary School Dekina for his secondary education. He later joined Federal Polytechnic Idah for National Diploma in Business Admin before proceeding to Nasarawa State University for his BSc and MSc. He is currently a lecturer at the Federal University of Kashere.

The Federal University of Kashere (FUK) was one of the nine federal universities established by the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011 to increase access to higher education and ensure equity among all the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory in terms of the presence of federal tertiary institutions.
