The remains of a former House of Representative Member, Dekina/Bassa Constituency, Hon Joel Abuh will be laid to rest at his country home, Iyale, come December 26, 2024.
According to the grand daughter of the late rep member, Miss Chubiyo Abraham , the National Assembly and Kogi State Government have been informed of the demise of the astute politician.
It would be recalled that at the plenary session of the House of Representatives held recently the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, read a formal notification letter regarding the passing of Hon. Joel Abuh, a former Member of the House of Representatives who represented the Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency from 1979 to 1983.
The letter, submitted by Rt. Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna, the current Member representing Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, informed the House of Hon. Abuh’s demise and highlighted his service and contributions to his constituency and the nation during his tenure.
In honor of the late Hon. Joel Abuh, the House observed a minute of silence, and prayers were offered for the repose of his soul. The House expressed its condolences to his family, loved ones, and the people of Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency.
