Eziogu Unity Day: Dignitaries Call for Peace, Unity and Development Across Ebira Land

The Eziogu Unity Day celebration, held at the DAM Foundation in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, brought together sons and daughters of the Eziogu sub-clan of Agada descendants in Okengwe, Okene, in a renewed call for peace, unity, and development across Ebira Land.

The event, held on Saturday, attracted traditional rulers, political leaders, and community stakeholders from within and outside the state.

Speaking at the gathering, the President of Eziogu Unity Day, Mallam Muhammed Otuoze, urged all sons and daughters of Eziogu to sustain peace among themselves and other Ebira groups, stressing that unity remains the strongest foundation for progress and development in the land.

In his remarks, the Ohi of Okene, His Royal Highness Alhaji Mamman Okatahi, emphasized reconciliation and called on aggrieved leaders, including Hon. Tijani Damisa and Alhaji Yahaya Karaku, to embrace peace in the interest of the community.

The Ohi of Okengwe, HRH Alhaji Atta Abdulkareem Yusuf, also joined other leaders in advocating harmony, while HRH Muhammed Aliyu, Taaru Ivaju of Upogoro, added his voice in support of unity and cultural cohesion.

The event was graced by notable personalities including Dr. Emmanuel Ozigi, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, and Dr. Abdullahi Ozomata, and it ended on a high note with prayers, fanfare, and renewed commitments to peaceful coexistence and development in Eziogu and Ebira Land.
