Immediate past Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam and his successor, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole will join Barrister Tunde Irukera as keynote speakers at the Kogi West Youth Dialogue.
Kolawole will present a paper on youth and money politics while Imam is expected to identify hurdles before youths aiming for political leadership. The Kogi West Youth Dialogue is scheduled to hold on Saturday 25th November at Idrinana Hotel, Lokoja.
The former Speaker who represents Lokoja I State Constituency only recently resigned as the 11th Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly on the 3rd of August, 2017 thereby creating a vacuum which was filled by the then majority leader and member representing Kabba -Bunu State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Kolawole Mathew.
The duo have shown exemplary character in the way and manner they forged healthy working relationship between themselves in the House.  The ex-Speaker, shortly after his resignation, had explained that his action was in the best interest of the state and assured the incumbent Speaker of his support when the need arises. It will be an interesting sight to watch the duo ‘putting heads together’ in the best interest of Kogi West at the Youth Dialogue.
Imam and Kolawole are expected to set the tone for a robust engagement at the Kogi West Youth Dialogue.
