The Administrator of Okene Local government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has congratulated Muslims in Okene Local government as they join the rest of the world to mark the successful completion of Arafat rites and the celebration of Eid-El Kabir.
He said the festival of sacrifice is to commemorate faith and absolute obedience to Almighty Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (A . S).
In a statement issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Prince Abdulmumin Abubakar, Abdulrazaq enjoined Muslims to use the auspicious time to show love to one another and ensure peaceful co-existence irrespective of their religious and political beliefs.
He assured the residents of his government’s determination to improve the welfare of the citizenry, improve infrastructure and provide the needed dividends of democracy to the people.
Engr. Abdulrazaq however task residents to be security conscious, avoid late night movements and report any suspected criminals to the law enforcement agencies. He stated that security agencies have been ordered to maintain 24hrs patrol within Okene town and its environs, hence the people should go about their normal lawful business.
