A zonal manager with Ecobank, Dr Isa Harrie Salifu was on Saturday honoured by the Ejeh of Dekina and Ag Chairman Igala Area Traditional Council, HRH Alhaji Usman Obaje as the new Omachi Ejeh Dekina.
The event took place amidst heavy down pour at the palace of the paramount ruler in the ancient Dekina town.
The Ejeh Dekina said Dr Salifu was coronated based his records of community service,social services, hardwork and humanitatian gesture.
The monarch urged well placed people in the land to demonstrate similar affectionate attitude displayed by Dr Salifu to ensure accelerated development of Igala kingdom.
Dignitaries at the occasion which included heads of parastatatals of federal government agencies, seasoned bankers, top civil servants, organised private sector leaders, community leaders, traditional rulers, all sang the praises of Chief Isa Harrie Salifu.
In their separate remarks, the Ag. Director General National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Professor Armstrong Idachaba; DG National Productivity Centre, Dr Kashim Akor; Managing Director, Development Bank of Nigeria, Dr Tony Okpanachi congratulated Dr Salifu and described him as a passionate Igala man yearning for the growth and advancement of its citizens.
Reacting to the coronation at a reception in his Agbeji country home, Dr Salifu stressed his desire to continue with his trend of community service and human emancipation as it is an innate disposition that he is naturally endowed with.
He expressed gratitude to dignitaries and other well wishers that graced the occasion.
