Echocho Flags-off Grading of Selected Major Rural Roads in Kogi East

As part of efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance accessibility, Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho), has commenced the grading of selected major rural roads in Kogi East, starting from Ibobo/Emewe Ogane road in Biraidu district.

The project which aims to improve connectivity among the communities in the area will facilitate easier movement for residents and promote trade interactions and enhance commercial activities in Kogi East.

Alhaji Akpa Anana who represented Senator Isah Jibrin at the flag-off stated that the lawmaker is committed to linking producers to markets, workers to jobs, students to schools and the sick to hospitals through quality access roads in Kogi East Senatorial District.

The project contractor, Alhaji Mikail Isa, explained that the Federal Government approved the grading of a 2-kilometer stretch from Ajakeya junction.Driven by his deep affection for his constituents, the Senator, however, pledged to extend the project to Emewe Ogane. Mikail Isa promised prompt and high-quality service.

During the flag-off ceremony, His Royal Highness, Chief Jonah Idris Okai who was represented by HRH, Onu Gbologwo Emewe, Mathew Daikwo, expressed his gratitude to Senator Echocho for his commitment to revitalising Kogi East. He outlined the importance of the road network in restoring the zone lost glory and emphasized the positive impact it would have on the local populace.

Residents of Abocho town, Ajekeya and Emewe Ogane trooped out to voice their immense appreciation for the Senator’s intervention, noting that the improved road will significantly alleviate the financial burdens been experienced by the communities.
