Fellow Kogites, home and in diaspora, trying to market the product ‘Dino Melaye’ may not be too necessary because he is a brand already. An average Nigerian knows him. Those that have not been privileged to meet him have either seen him on the television or read about him on the pages of the newspaper.

His political prowess can not be overemphasized. He has made a land mark achievement in the area of legislation in the country, a record no one has been able to beat.

At this point of our history as a people of abundance of endowment in Kogi State, a land flowing with milk and honey, blessed with both physical, human and natural endowment, yet her people live in abject poverty and neglect due to bad leadership, a disease worse than HIV killing our people every day.

We need a focused leader. A leader that is prepared for leadership. A leader that knows the way. A leader that can be trusted with our common patrimony. A leader that will restore our state to her rightful position in the nation as the first capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We need the man Dino Melaye a man with a clear vision at the same time who can translate the vision into reality.

To achieve this great stand, we need to be more United as a people and eschew bitterness, hate and tribal sentiment and let’s work as a united Kogi State.

A team without unity, without cohesion, isn’t really much of a team, is it? As a state trying to build a strong workforce, economic stability, citizen’s welfare, human and infrastructural development or a coach trying to build a strong team, UNITY should be the first item on our checklist.

“Unity is strength… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved,” says American poet Mattie Stepanek. Let’s build a united Kogi State. Let’s support Senator Dino Melaye as Kogi state governor!!
