Cosmas Atabor Offers Free JAMB Registration, Monetary Support to Students

Kogi State House of Assembly member representing Igalamela-Odolu Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor has offered complete free JAMB registration and financial support to some students in tertiary institutions in his constituency through his “CIA Education Support 2020.” 

Hon. Atabor, represented by his Personal Assistant, Comr. Alih Nasir Adamu presented cash donations to students in tertiary institutions and all expense paid JAMB registration to selected beneficiaries in a ceremony held at the lawmaker’s constituency office in Ajaka. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Comr. Alih Nasir stated that “the gesture was a demonstration of Hon. Cosmas Atabor’s efforts towards giving young constituents needed opportunities to advance their educational pursuit more smoothly.

“Beneficiaries of the CIA Education Support 2020 were equitably selected from across the ten wards of the local government. In addition, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Muslim Community, and other socio-political organisation were given equal opportunities to present eligible beneficiaries from their fold for the scheme,” he added. 

The chairman of the APC in the local government, Hon. Paul Abalaka commended Hon. Atabor for the gesture.

“This is yet another indication of the readiness of Hon. Cosmas to fulfill all his electioneering campaign promises to the people of Igalamela-Odolu Constituency. Hon. Abalaka also called upon all the beneficiaries of the CIA Education Support Scheme to make maximum use of the opportunity provided by the lawmaker for the advancement of their educational aspirations.”

Similarly, former Councillor representing Ajaka II, Hon. Zekeri Adama, admonished the beneficiaries to begin to prepare for the JAMB/UTME exams in earnest.

He added that admissions will be secured for those who perform excellently in the exams.

The ceremony was also attended by religious leaders, community leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in the local government.
