The Honourable member representing the wonderful people of Okene 1 state constituency in Kogi state House of Assembly Hon Lawi AT Ahmed who amongst his colleagues rounded up the 5 days legislative retreat held in Lagos today says he is thankful to God and assuring his people of effective legislation.
The legislator while responding to questions from his constituents about the just concluded retreat said actually this is the second retreat since he assumed office as a member of the assembly but more educative and enriching in his legislative career.
The vibrant representative said he is surely going to put in all he has learned into practice as soon as they resume from there recess saying gone are the days where members are known for bench warming.
Hon Lawi equally called on his constituents for support by feeding him with vital information worthy to convert into motions or bills to be sponsored or moved in the chambers for the benefit of all.
He appreciates and commends the digital Governor of Kogi state Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello saying the legislators are solidly behind him in the quest to catapult Kogi state to an enviable height.
The Chairman House committee on SDG’s and special duties equally calls on the SAs of these sectors to be more diligent on there duties as he would stop at nothing to ensure the needful is done on the cause of his oversight functions.
