The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi Chapter, has announced Oct. 8 as new date for the 2026 Kogi Youth Security Summit.
The summit is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to bring together young people, government representatives, security stakeholders and other partners to discuss security challenges and explore collaborative approaches to building a safer Kogi.

The Chairman of NYCN, Kogi Chapter, who doubles as Secretary of the Central Planning Committee, Comrade Abdulmumini Enesi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Lokoja.
Enesi said the summit is designed to provide a platform for meaningful conversations on the role of youths in promoting peace, security and community development, while strengthening cooperation between youths and security institutions.
According to him, the summit will focus on collective action and practical engagement toward addressing security concerns affecting communities across the state.
The organisers urged participants and stakeholders who had planned to attend to take note of the new date and make necessary arrangements to be part of the summit.
He said the summit would provide an avenue for participants to share ideas, identify areas of collaboration and contribute to discussions on sustainable security and peaceful coexistence in the state.
