In a bold affirmation of his dedication to educational excellence, and staff motivation, Architect and Pastor Raymond Duke Haruna, Proprietor of Chronicle International Schools, Idah, Kogi State, has declared that teachers’ welfare will remain a non-negotiable priority at the institution.

Speaking during a strategic boardroom meeting and brainstorming session with the management and staff of the Secondary School Inachalo, Pastor Haruna refuted recent allegations of salary default, describing them as “false, malicious, and orchestrated by mischief-makers and enemies of progress.”

“We are committed to blazing the trail in teacher-friendly policies. At Chronicle International Schools, no staff will be owed a dime. Timely salary payment is not just a duty; it is a spiritual obligation and a sign of integrity,” Pastor Haruna affirmed.

He also said teachers form the backbone of the institution, and that ensuring their financial stability is part of his wider vision to set new standards, rewrite the narrative in private education across Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

“A teacher who is well-paid is a teacher who will pour out the best into the students. Our focus is clear: fair compensation, safe working conditions, and opportunities for growth,” he said.

In line with this vision, Pastor Haruna announced that the school will soon launch a staff and student transportation initiative to ease mobility challenges — a move that underscores his proactive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving in the education sector.

“We are not only paying salaries promptly but also providing a school bus to ease the burden of transportation for both staff and students. This is part of our holistic approach to welfare,” he noted.

Pastor Haruna, who is also the President of Latter Glory Kingdom Assembly, emphasized the need for continuous innovation in school leadership which is nothing but what you have to present on the table, sharing how his background as a hotelier prepared him for quality service delivery in education. He passionately called on stakeholders in education sector to adopt a people-first mindset, human development particularly in rural and semi-urban communities like Idah and its environs.

Adding to the announcement, the Director of Chronicle International Schools, Pastor Elijah, urged qualified candidates to take advantage of new teaching vacancies, especially in the school’s Downtown Kingdom Academy, Oforachi.

“We are on the lookout for not just anyhow candidate but the brightest minds to join our team,” Pastor Elijah stated, noting that vacancies are open across a wide range of subjects, including:

Pastor Raymond Duke Haruna also used the opportunity to share his long-term vision for the institution. He believes education is sacred calling and sacrosanct, not just a mere profession, and that teachers should be treated as “Men/women of the future”.

“A nation that dishonours her teachers dishonours her future. That’s why at Chronicle, we must stand out as light in the midst of darkness,” he declared, quoting from Proverbs 11:25 — “The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.”

He concluded with a message to naysayers:

“This institution was founded on divine instruction. Anyone who speaks falsehood against it is not fighting man, but God. We will continue to grow in spite of the distraction from traducers because truth always prevails.”

Chronicle International Schools, since inception, has grown into a beacon of hope for students in Idah and neighbouring communities, blending academic excellence with spiritual discipline, awarding scholarship to exceptional pupil/ students in academic performance and producing some of the finest minds in the locality.

With this fresh declaration of intent and open call for employment, Pastor Raymond’s leadership appears set to inspire a new era of respect, reward, and recognition for teachers, educators in Igalaland, Kogi State and beyond.
