The Kogi Central PDP senatorial candidate in the last general election, Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and her husband, Chief Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan on Sunday dedicated their son, Prince Reign Emmanuel.

While sharing her traumatic experience during the child’s delivery, Mrs. Uduaghan who thank God for saving her life said she was given six pints of blood and thought she was going to die and recalled how she told her husband to take care of their son if she didn’t make it from the theatre.

She said, “About two months ago, I survived a ghastly motor accident, I had a fractured and some stitches on my face, but today we are gathered to celebrate the dedication of our son, Prince Reign Emmanuel Toritsemotse Otuoze Uduaghan who turns one next week Wednesday.

“The moment that led to his birth was my most turbulent pregnancy because I contested for Kogi State PDP senatorial primary election while I was pregnant.

“I recalled vividly, I was fallen into labour in my village when I traveled for my primary election while I was seven months into the pregnancy and I kept having contractions. I will pray and tell God, I am in my 40s, this is a high-risk pregnancy and I don’t want to go into labour in the village.

“I recalled again the very day I had the baby, for three days, it was a battle to save my life, we had the baby a few minutes before 2:00 pm on the 12th of July 2022. I was getting very weak from the theater because I had a C-section, they told me to hold my baby but I felt so much weak and I couldn’t even hold the baby.

“I told my husband I couldn’t feel the strength in my limbs, I also felt my stomach swelling up, I told him something is not right. Later on, the doctors came in and when they checked, blood was gushing out, it was just rushing like they opened a tap from me, it was rushing that they had to bring a bucket in. I noticed that I was gasping, it was the first time of experiencing many things. Suddenly, I couldn’t breathe, I think I passed out and the next thing I saw, I was in the theater.

“I thought I was going to die, I remembered telling my husband to take care of our son, Reign if I don’t make it. I remembered that last word in the theater.

“I was given six pints of blood, I just want to thank God for saving me. We are survivors, our baby is a survivor, and we thank God for everything”, she concluded.
