BEBM Exhibitions Advocate Patronage of Indigenous Companies

Governments of all levels and private concerns have been called upon to continue to patronize indigenous companies if we must build the economy of the country Nigeria.
This was the position of the conveners of the BEBM Exhibitions during a parley with selected media outfits in Lokoja as part of sidelines to commemorate the World Architecture Day.
In a release by the BEBM Exhibition’s Media Consultant, Hon. Yagbagi Umar, the high cost up importation in terms of expertise; importation of foreign technology and high remuneration is part of causes of the overall total exorbitant cost of projects when patronizing by foreign contractors.
The group further insisted that, if we must develop Nigeria’s economy into one of the strongest in Africa we must reposition our attitude and believe system to patronizing indigenous contractors. This patronage is capable catalyzing all round development across the value chain.
Hon. Yagbagi also announced that arrangements have been put in place to show case some of our best companies during the 3rd Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition scheduled to hold between 17th – 20th October 2017 at the Children Amusement Park Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The companies listed are Vigiscope Nigeria Ltd, a security intelligence and general security appliance promoter; New Moon Nigeria Limited, an electrical and solar system construction company; Onyido & Onyido Nigeria Limited, a building and civil engineering construction company.
“These companies have been selected among the numerous nominations and have been found to work with great expertise, commitment and good delivery within the stipulated time frame and we intend to use the opportunity of the exhibition to showcase them to the world,” he said.
The statement added that dedicated exhibition stands have been christened after these companies at the forth coming exhibition as an appreciation to their commitment to the built environment industry in Nigeria.
