A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Comrade Usman Okai Austin has berated Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for his little or no interest in the state-owned radio station situated in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital.

The rights activist made this known through his social media page on Monday.

Okai expressed worries that the main radio station in Kogi has been abandoned by Governor Bello-led administration since March 18, 2021.

“It is a big shame on Kogi State. How can our main radio station (FM94.1) be abandoned for 8 Months?

“According to my findings, the Kogi state government that couldn’t acquire a transmitter rented it and refused to pay the service charges, until it eventually got spoilt.

“The State Governor is expected to pay the sum of 1.3 Billion naira to get everything working, till now no single transmitter is there. This has jeopardized every operation in the station.

“Let Yahaya Bello and his gangs who have been milking the State remedy the situation before things get out of hand. It is unfortunate that this Bello led administration has failed in all departments in the state,” he said.
