Amb Terkimbi Terry Meets NFVCB Boss to Promote Benue Creative Industry

Amb. Nyam Terkimbi Terry, a renowned entrepreneur and creative industry expert, recently paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Shaibu Husseini, Executive Director of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) in Abuja.

The meeting aimed to discuss upcoming film and cultural events, including the Benue Creative Summit and MACA International Film Festival, scheduled for March 21st and July 16th-20th, respectively.

During the visit, Amb. Terry shared his vision for the Benue Creative Summit and MACA International Film Festival, emphasizing the theme “Benue’s Creative Economy: Opportunities, Challenges, and Solutions.”

Responding, Dr. Shaibu Huasseini, described the forthcoming event as timely, given the current youth restiveness bedeviling the country.

Dr. Husseini, who has been instrumental in promoting the Nigerian film industry, equally applauded Amb. Terry for his efforts in promoting the creative industry in Benue State.

The meeting also explored areas of mutual interest, including the development of a film village and world-class acoustic music studio in Benue.

This strategic collaboration marks a significant step towards fostering growth within the creative industry in Benue State.

Amb. Terry was accompanied by Israel Audu Kashim, founder of Kaduna International Film Festival and Vice Chairman of Nigerian Film Festivals Association, and Amb. Mrs. Adesuwa Udo, President of El’s Empowerment Foundation.

The visit underscores the importance of collaboration and support in promoting the creative industry in Nigeria.
