The General Overseer of Christ Life Evangelical Ministry, Mopa, Pastor Daniel Motilewa, has described the candidate of Action Alliance (AA) in the November 11, 2023 Kogi governorship election, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, as the “David that the Almighty God has sent to tackle the Goliath of poverty” in the state.

Speaking at a town hall organised by the governorship candidate in Mopa, Pastor Motilewa emphasised that Braimoh’s candidacy was one borne from divine ordination.

“You will all agree with me that our common enemy in Kogi State is poverty. After listening to Olayinka Braimoh, who has told us that he is on an assignment to end poverty in Kogi State through his wealth creation and distribution agenda, it is right to say that he is the David that has been sent to tackle the Goliath of poverty here in Kogi state. This is why we must continue to pray for him,” the pastor said.

Also speaking at a different event, Alhaji Ahmed, the Chief Imam of Odo-Ere Muslim community, prayed for Olayinka Braimoh, saying that it is the spiritual responsibility of every religious leader, not only to pray, but to also preach the gospel of any political leader who has the love of the people at heart.

“Olayinka Braimoh, through his wealth creation agenda, has shown us clearly that his government will make life easy for the masses. He therefore, deserves our massive support and votes. This message of hope should be taken to all our Muslims and Christians across Kogi State,” the Imam said.

Braimoh’s wealth creation and distribution plan, also known as the STAT Agenda, has been applauded by many for its capacity to drive cash flow into Kogi State’s economy thereby reducing poverty and creating more opportunities for all the citizens.
