Remains of Hajia Maimuna Buried in Egume, Kogi State

The remains of Iye Igala and mother of Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali, was laid  to  rest on Wednesday at her hometown in Ogume, Dekina Local Government Area of  Kogi state.

Hajiya Maimuna died in the early hour of Wednesday at the National Hospital  Abuja after a brief illness.

The funeral prayer was led by the Chief imam of Unguwan Kura Juma’a Mosque, Sheikh Abubakar Adamu and dignitaries that attended which included Waziri of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Idris, who represented  the  Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji, (Dr)  Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, as well as  the Administrator of Lokoja Local government, Hon. Danasabe Muhammad, as well as his predecessor, Hon. Shiru Lawal, the Maiyaki of Lokoja, Alhaji Ali Lawal and other Islamic clerics within and outside Kogi state.

Others were, Alhaji Zakari Abubakar Ola, Special Adviser on Job Creation and SMEs, Hon. Danladi Aguye, Hon. Maikudi Bature, APC Lokoja Local government Chairman and a host of others.

Zakari, who spoke to newsmen, described late Hajiya Maimuna as a  humble mother who contributed immensely to the upbringing of many  children irrespective of tribe or religious. affiliation.

He enjoined Muslims to emulate her good qualities and condole the family of the deceased and the people of Lokoja in general.

He described the death as a great loss and prayed Allah to grant her eternal bliss.
