Re: Kogi People Will Gain More if Gov Yahaya Bello is Re-elected

I came across a statement credited to one Muktar Bello on governor Bello. To satisfy my curiosity, i decided to read through.

Muktar Bello who I believed wrote this piece out of his quest to satisfy a need should rather come out with a definition of his term “Kogi People”.

It is very surprising these days that young people can do whatever it takes so long as they can earn a little out of it. I believe Mr Muktar is very alien to Kogi state and her people.

Today in Kogi state, the governor himself knows the people are not with him because of his unpopular anti people policies that has thrown the state into agony and has made a once fast growing state a laughing stock.

Mr Bello can go ahead to ask the governor how come the people are not paid salaries and when it pleases him to pay augustly, he does that between 20-50%. He should explain to us why he failed to mention one project that was carried out by the so called government he so rated very high.

When a piece like this is written, one expect a kind of comparison, one expect reasons to believe in the statement; so there is need for this to be evidence based. I challenge Mr Bello to make such comparison while he owe us the meaning of Kogi people, to let us know why a government that has failed glaringly will turn around to benefit the people in second term.

I challenge Bello to tell us who and who are less in pedigree than the governor as he said in his statement. As much as I know, almost all aspirant jostling for the state top job are eminently qualified; in most cases, more educated that the governor; some of them rose through rank and file in their various organisations and their profile can not in anyway be compared to the governor.

But on a lighter note, if the admirers of this governor are quick to attack those who have not held the office of the governor and even weighed their pedigree, then they owe us an explanation on which pedigree Gov. Bello is at the moment. Every adult Kogite who has the minimum requirement by our constitution is qualified and the case of benefit is glaring on whose side the people are.

I am advising those who have taking the job to campaign for a failed government to try hard because they have up hill task to show the people what is not reality. I think the performance of this government can only be seen by mediocres. Muktar’s statement is rather fictitious because it can only be consumed by those who are blind, deaf and probably those who does not understand the workings of government like the writer.

We will expect more of speeches like this one because these are the last kick of a dying government whose sack days are very near.

My consolation however is that, the so call four years that the government thought will never come is here.

This is the day of reckoning. You can continue to insult the sensibilities of our people but the end is near.
