Ezi Onoko Clan from Ajaokuta Local Government Area has hailed Engr. Abubakar Ohere, Special Adviser to Governor on Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs for his outstanding leadership disposition and achievements in propelling the political aspirations of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The Clan representatives made this known when they paid a courtesy visit to Ohere on Thursday.
The spokesperson of the delegation, Elder Jimoh Isiaka applauded the developmental strides of Governor Bello which are equitably distributed across the State, for cohesion and unity of all Kogites.
The spokesperson commended the efforts of Ohere for distinguishing himself as a very reliable, faithful and pragmatic political appointee of the governor.
He stated that Ohere’s support to the government of Alh.Yahaya Bello cannot be over emphasized.
He also hailed the Governor for his uncommon wisdom in appointing Engr Abubakar Ohere as the round peg in round hole who is discharging his duties in his best capacity and in the best interest of the people.
The spokesperson of the group said that the purpose of their visit was to express their unalloyed appreciation to Governor Bello and Engr. Ohere for the appointment and installation of Ohiete of Ajaokuta coupled with several developmental achievements of the government.
He added that the singular appointment of Ohiete of Ajaokuta will go a long way to correct the long standing of injustice and bring about peaceful coexistence among the people in the area.
He also thanked Ohere for his financial support for the completion of long abandoned Central Mosque, Eganyi, rehabilitation and provision of portable water in Ajaokuta communities among other achievements provided to Ajaokuta LGA.
The clan unanimously reaffirmed their total support for Governor Yahaya Bello.
In his response, Ohere, who also double as leader of GYB political appointees from Kogi Central, Ohere expressed gratitude for the solidarity visit by the Ezi Onoko Clan delegation, saying that it is a good step in the right direction and a source of encouragement to him and Governor Bello.
He assured the people that Governor Bello is committed to carry out more people-oriented projects and programmes in Kogi State and Ajaokuta won’t be left out.
Among the next phase of projects in Ajaokuta is the construction of Ebiya-Patesi-Badoko-Adogo road which has been captured in 2019 budget.
The delegation was led by Ovanebira of Eganyi HRH Alh Abdulsalam Omanyi in company of Ohiete of Ajaokuta, HRH Alh Ibrahim Musa Balemoh, Okpotoku of Onoko Clan, HRH Alh Ibrahim Ohinoyi Suleiman, Ananyuwa of Upake Adayi Eneye Okenyi Opanga. Others are Chairman of the Clan and his Executives, Elders and Leaders of the Clan, Youth President, Woman Leader.
