Less than 12 days to the general elections, the Senatorial Candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi Central, Ms Natasha Akpoti has chosen to embark on smear campaign, making hate speeches and of course, jumping from one media house to the other seeking for cheap popularity and whip up sentiments in the name of a Senatorial ambition.
We have watched with keen interest the activities of an amateur politician in the past few weeks and come to a logical conclusion that, Ms Natasha Akpoti is only interested or sponsored to blackmail the government of Kogi State and sadly in the process defrauded some Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the name of Women in Politics and Foreign Donors who want to protect their business interests in Ajaokuta Steel Company.
1. We challenge Ms Natasha Akpoti and her Social Democratic Party to show us the Party structures in Kogi Central. Ms Natasha, show us the the card carrying members of your Party in Kogi Central. You should be able to tell us the number of registered members of your Party and when was the registration exercise conducted in the whole of Ebiraland. Ms Natasha should endeavour to tell us the location of the Party’s offices in each of the five Local Government Areas in Kogi Central as required by law. You can as well tell us when was your Primaries conducted, where was it held and the officials that supervised it. …Honestly, you can’t build something on nothing.
2. In what looks like a replica of MMM Ponzi Scheme, Natasha in her desperate bid to make money from poor Nigerians recently published her bank account details soliciting for funds to run a failed campaign or one that was never in existence. How can a woman with no traceable source of income rides in bullet proof car with a convoy of not less than 6 SUVs represent the poor? Yet, still want to defraud the same poor and vulnerable persons via a fake Senatorial campaign. This is pure criminality and wickedness.
3. It amazes us still, how can a Senatorial Candidate who brandishes certain Multi-Million naira investment in Russia, a builder of an investment hub with mansions in Maitama, Jabi and Lugbe and whose son rides car worth 15 Million naira could pride herself as an advocate of the poor, let alone luring them to donate their hard earned money to boost her campaigns through her bank accounts which is to be managed by a failed and dismissed banker, Mr Gabriel Onimisi. The answer is simple; Natasha needs more money to maintain her luxurious lifestyle since Dino and Saraki are currently not forthcoming.
4. Few days to the election, Alh. Yakubu Oseni of the APC with full complements of the APC Campaign Council are seen engaged in door to door campaigns in Kogi Central while the supposed contender, Ms Natasha Akpoti of the little known SDP goes about just like a political tourist who has lost sight of the tourist centre. Having lost her control, Natasha has no option left but to make hate speeches in order to incite the people against the government of Alh. Yahaya Bello.

5. History have it that, Alh. Yakubu Oseni of the APC is a First Class Graduate of the world famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; an experienced banker and a successful Public Servant. While serving as the Chairman of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, he employed over 350 fresh graduates from Kogi Central. Today, these young men and women are gainfully employed with ripple effects across family lines and friends. Therefore, in terms of qualitative representation, Natasha is never a match!
In Conclusion… Dear Ms Natasha Akpoti, kindly explain to us the whereabouts of Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N750,000) you collected from Gov. Yahaya Bello while serving as Secretary of APC Reconciliation Committee to organise a peace meeting in Abuja. The meeting never took place and the money was never returned. In trying to make a cover up, you called your committee members men of low standard. How could a political office seeker stoop so low to utter such kind of statements publicly?
However, we are not asking Ms Natasha to refine her vituperations or mend her ways as it’s practically impossible to bend a dried fish.
The electorates should for once be mindful of who they choose to represent them!
Tick tock… Your time Starts now!
