Lokoja | state constituency has been adjudged as a constituency in dire need of effective representation.
Hon. Suleiman Babadoko, the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Lokoja I House of Assembly contest, said the constituency has been neglected to the background as a result of poor representation in the last few years.
According to him, the current member representing the area at the House of Assembly is trying his best but it is not at par with what the constituents expected him to do.
Babadoko complained that the present representative has sponsored few bills, with nothing much to benefit the people of the area, challenging the lawmaker for not carrying stakeholders along in discharging his constituency projects.
The business tycoon turned politician revealed that based on his grassroots politics and for being in constant touch with relevant stakeholders, the people of Lokoja shopped him to contest the next House of Assembly election.
He recounted his political feat that dates back to 2011 when won the state assembly seat. Babadoko said he had the privilege of winning the assembly seat of his constituency for 2011-15 with good track records and antecedents.
He further revealed that his aspirations to vie for the seat for the third time is borne out of desire for his constituents to have an effective representation in all ramifications.
He extolled Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s candidature, asserting that his emergence offers hope that young Nigerians will be given viable opportunity to occupy strategic position in the country.
Babadoko called on the people of Kogi state to support PDP in the forthcoming 2019 general elections as the party is people oriented.
