The Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, Barrister Cosmos Atabor, has declared that the people of the council remain resolute in their decision to back the re-election of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

Barr. Atabor made this known on Wednesday at the Secretariat Complex in Ajaka while receiving the Workplace Security Campaign Team, led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka.

The Council Boss described the statewide sensitization tour as timely and worthwhile, noting that the engagement would serve as an eye-opener for workers and further reinforce the practical evidence of good governance under the present administration.

“I want to appreciate this team for coming. This engagement is important because it reminds our workers of what is at stake. The evidence of good leadership is already here with us, and our workers have resolved to stand with the Governor and Mr. President,” Barr. Atabor declared.

He commended Comrade Edoka for the initiative and assured that Igalamela/Odolu workers are fully mobilized to deliver overwhelming votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the forthcoming elections.

Workers Pass Vote of Confidence

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Igalamela/Odolu, Comrade Sunday Ogu, passed a vote of confidence on behalf of workers in the council, saying they were impressed with the performance of the Ododo administration.

Comrade Ogu itemized the achievements of the government, stressing that workers have fared well under the current leadership. He said this had justified their resolve to support the re-election of Governor Ododo and President Tinubu.

He, however, appealed to the government to look into some of the challenges facing workers in order to further strengthen their support and commitment to the administration.

Job Security Tied to Continuity, Says Edoka

In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Labour, Comrade Onuh Edoka, urged workers to prioritize both workplace security and job security ahead of the 2027 elections.

He stressed that the continuity of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in office is key to protecting jobs and ensuring improved welfare packages for workers across Kogi State.

“We are here to remind you that your security matters. More importantly, your job security matters. The return of this administration at both state and federal levels is what will guarantee your jobs and bring more benefits to workers,” Comrade Edoka said.

The event ended with workers in Igalamela/Odolu pledging total support and grassroots mobilization for the victory of the APC in 2027.
