As part of her effort geared towards ensuring a peaceful electoral activities at the grassroots, the Chairman of Kogi State Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee (MIREMCO), Hajia Hassiat Suleiman has called on youths across the state to avoid being used by politicians with inordinate intention.
Hajia Hassiat made the call recently in Ihima during her routine meeting with the youths and women on the need to eschew violence for sustainable development of the society.
The MIREMCO boss noted that thuggery, cyber bullying, intake of illicit drugs and other social vices had never done the society any good. These acts she stressed, has led to the erosion of our age long value and respect for elders and opinion leaders in the society.
While emphasising that Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello did not come to power on account of any social misdemeanor, Hassiat urged the people to take a cue from the Governor for a more prosperous society.
She enjoined the people to be steadfast in their support for the New Direction administration, saying that the Governor Bello is very keen on setting the state on the path of political and socioeconomic prosperity.
