The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Global Centre for Peace and Education, a nongovernmental organization, Comrade Oguche Matejuojo Otiti has called on Nigerian youths to strive for skill acquisition in addition to formal education in order to attain self reliance.
Comrade Otiti made the call during the graduation ceremony of one of the organisation’s trainees in the department of fashion and design, Ms Salimetu Aduojo Ochidi.
In his remark, Comrade Otiti, expressed his gratitude to God for giving him the grace to touch the lives of the youths positively and donated a brand new sewing machine to the beneficiary on behalf of the NGO.
Responding, the beneficiary, Ms Salimetu, a native of Ogbonicha in Ofu Local Government Area, thanked Comrade Otiti and the Global Centre for Peace and Education for their kindness, adding that the gesture will go a long way in empowering and enabling her to be financially self reliant.
