​Kogi Speaker Pays Visit to Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole hpaid an unscheduled visit to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja yesterday to sympathize with some patients at the orthopaedics section of the hospital.

The Speaker  first visited Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim, an accident victim from his constituency who got knocked down by fleeing kidnappers on the 18th July in Kabba.

He sympathized with the victim and paid the medical bill of two hundred thousand naira. He urged him to always believe God, even in his presence predicament.

He also visited Dare Oluhomi who was a victim of stray bullet on the 27th January during a protest for the establishment of Federal University which was later sited in Lokoja.

He enjoined Dare Oluhomi to have hope in God who has kept him since the inception of the challenge, stressing that his presence condition should spur him to be closer and more committed to God by giving his life to Christ Jesus.

He supported him with the sum of fifty thousand naira for his upkeep.

The speaker said he decided to visit them in the hospital to share in their pains and to also encourage them in the challenges they presently face.

He also gave over hundred thousand naira financial supports to other patients at the department, promising to continue to support the people subject to availability of resources.
