Is Bello running a joint Account with Kogi State Civil Servants? You can ask me again.
The strange acts of fraud has been committed, with the aid of Access Bank and Zenith Bank, against Kogi state workers.
Kogi civil servants woke up and started getting unsolicited text messages indicating that they now have new bank accounts from Zenith and Access banks. Bewildered, they wondered when they filled bank account opening forms as is the norm with commercial banks. They asked themselves who filled the ‘Know Your Customer, KYC’ forms on their behalf. They are asking to know who the next of kin is for this illegal accounts opened on their behalf by the state government without their consent.
The current Commissioner for Finance in the state, Idris Asiru, is a staff of Zenith Bank currently on leave. The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Edward Onoja, was a banker with Access bank.
As I write, none of the civil servants have cheques, passbook or ATM for these strange bank accounts. Also, Access and Zenith Banks have less than 7 branches altogether across the state! That means all civil servants under the state government and the entire 21 local governments will have to storm Lokoja to withdraw their hard-earned salaries and travel back to their domains through highly insecure roads.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state suppresses the freedom of the working masses. Little wonder he is facing so many problems from his own party, the All Progressives Congress, APC. The Kogi State chapter of APC recently passed a vote of no confidence on him. As I write, Bello is under investigation by the National Assembly, he is under probe by his own party executives and leaders. Senator Dino Melaiye heads a disciplinary committee to probe Bello.
Disgraceful! So disgusting!!
Bello is on a collision course with Nigerian Army for lobbying some of their men to dabbling into the festering Kogi State House of Assembly crisis. Kogi Governor is definately in a wrong hands. The governor is being deceived. His handlers and advisers are obviously out of touch with the reality in Kogi state.
They spend millions on social media and traditional media thinking they can buy good image. Today, Bello’s Government is the most hated Government in the history of Kogi State.
Some lackeys go about intimidating people in the name of Governor Bello. Intimidation is the way of the weak. These miscreants harass people in the midnight, calling people on phone threatening to kill whoever criticizes Bello. Let me state without fear that we cannot be intimidated because we are on the path of justice. Kogi state is for all of us and we will not be bullied into silence.
As for the Governor, his decision to open Bank Accounts for the ‘cleared’ civil servants without their permission is fraud, deceit and unprofessional of those Banks that aided this atrocity.
