Kogi State Governor Captain Idris Wada has allocated land to BUA Sugar Refinery Company for the establishment of a sugar refinery in the state.
Governor Wada disclosed this at the weekend when Group Executive Director of BUA Sugar Refinary, Alhaji Kabiru Rabiu, and his team paid him a courtesy visit in Lokoja.
He said the state is blessed with abundant resources, calling on investors to take the advantage of the enabling environment provided by his administration to develop the state.
He said the land was allocated for the establish of the sugar factory because agriculture is one of his priorities.
The group executive director of BUA had earlier requested from the governor a piece of land for the establishment of sugar industry in Bassa Local Government Area in the state.
