ELIGIBILITY FOR DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D) PROGRAMMES
An applicant for admission into Ph.D programmes shall:
(a) Be a graduate of Prince Abubakar Audu University or any other approved University who has obtained the degree of Master of Arts or Science (MA/M.Sc/LL.M/M.Ed)
(b) Possess a minimum of 3.50 Cumulative Grade point Average on a 5.00 point scale or equivalent letter grade B in previous postgraduate programme.
(c) For programmes in Natural Sciences a candidate must possess a minimum of 3.50 Cumulative Grade point Average on a 5.00 point scale or equivalent letter grade B in previous postgraduate programme.
(d) Candidates who do not meet the criteria in (b) & (c) above can apply for
M.Phil/Ph.D in their respective Programmes where available.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MASTER OF ARTS/MASTER OF SCIENCE/LL.M/MALD/MILD/MPA/MBA/MEM
For Master’s Degree Programmes (M.A/M.Sc/M.A/M.Sc/M.Ed), a candidate is required to:
(i) Possess a Bachelor’s degree of Prince Abubakar Audu University or any other recognized University in the relevant programme with 2.40 or as the case may be.
(ii) Possess a CGPA of not less than 3.00 for programmes in the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
(iii) Possess relevant O’ Level credits.
ELIGIBILITY FOR POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD)
To qualify for admission into Postgraduate Diploma Programmes, a candidate is required to:
(i) Hold a minimum of Third Class degree of Prince Abubakar Audu University or any other recognized University.
(ii) Have a Higher National Diploma (HND) at lower credit level in related fields.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY/ REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
All applicants for Postgraduate admission must satisfy the ‘O’ Level/first degree requirement of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba as follows:
(a) Possess five ‘O’ Level credit passes (Matriculation requirement for each discipline) at not more than two sittings in the relevant subjects, including English Language for ALL disciplines and Mathematics for ALL Science based disciplines, Geography, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Science and Education.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
The application fee for PhD Programmes is N35, 000.00 (Thirty-five thousand naira only). while ALL other Postgraduate programmes are N25, 000.00 (Twenty-five thousand naira only).
The access and filling of the PG application form can be done on the University PG Portal at https://eportal.paau.edu.ng/ . The following are the requirements for the online application:
