The Kekure Bridge, located in Ayede/Akakana Ward of Bassa Local Government Area, Kogi State, has been completed, marking the latest in a series of infrastructure milestones recorded in the Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency.

The bridge is expected to improve connectivity and ease movement for residents of the community and surrounding areas, while opening up better opportunities for economic and social activities in the area.

The project forms part of the ongoing efforts of the lawmaker representing Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, Chief Paul Gowon Haruna IJN, to address critical infrastructure needs across the constituency.

Speaking on the development, the lawmaker’s media aide, Rotr. Khalid Bala, said the completion of the Kekure Bridge reflects the representative’s commitment to projects with a direct impact on the lives of constituents.

According to him, the bridge is not merely a physical structure but an important link that will contribute to improved mobility, connectivity, and economic activity within the community.

He commended Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna for what he described as his continued dedication to the development of Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency.

“The completion of the project adds to the list of infrastructure interventions being highlighted by the lawmaker’s supporters as evidence of his representation and development agenda within the constituency.

“Residents are expected to benefit from a more convenient route, with improved access between communities in the area. The development comes as the constituency continues to prioritize infrastructure and other projects aimed at improving the welfare of its people,” he said.
