- Hon Sanni Aguva Leads Stakeholders’ Engagement, Secures Unanimous Endorsement for APC Candidates
Stakeholders of Ajaokuta Native Town have thrown their weight behind the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), endorsing former Governor Yahaya Bello for the Kogi Central Senatorial seat, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, Hon. Sanni Aguva Moses and other APC candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The endorsement followed a stakeholders’ meeting championed by Hon. Sanni Aguva Moses, a House of Assembly candidate representing Ajaokuta South State Constituency, at the residence of elder statesman and respected Ajaokuta political leader, Alhaji Baba Ali.
The meeting provided an avenue for extensive political engagement, with stakeholders reviewing the performance and developmental contributions of APC administrations at the federal, state and local government levels.
Speaking at the gathering, Alhaji Baba Ali commended the administration of former Governor Yahaya Bello, describing his tenure as one that laid a strong foundation for development in Kogi State. He equally praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for consolidating existing achievements while introducing new initiatives aimed at sustaining development across the state.
He further acknowledged the contributions of Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, noting that the federal lawmaker had complemented government efforts by attracting democratic dividends and development projects closer to the people of Ajaokuta within his three years in office.
Alhaji Baba Ali also urged Hon. Sanni Aguva to sustain his grassroots consultations, accessibility and problem solving approach, stressing that effective representation must remain people centred.
He assured the gathering that Ajaokuta Native Town would mobilise massively behind the APC, describing the party’s candidates as deserving of the people’s support based on what he called their visible contributions to the development of the area.
At the meeting, stakeholders unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Governor Yahaya Bello for Senate, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem for the House of Representatives, Hon. Sanni Aguva Moses for the House of Assembly, and Hon. Haruna Ganaja for Executive Chairman, ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Responding, Hon. Sanni Aguva expressed appreciation to the stakeholders for their confidence and support. He pledged to continue broad consultations and remain committed to the aspirations and welfare of the people.
Aguva further assured the gathering that the APC would sustain its developmental agenda under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the political guidance of the Ajaokuta Apex Leader, Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem.
