The Vice-Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola, was honoured on Saturday with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Award, Rotary International’s highest individual honour, conferred on him by the Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro.
The award was presented on 8th August, 2026, during the Investiture Ceremony of the club’s 19th President, an event that drew Rotarians, academics, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders from across Kogi State.
The Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro cited Professor Eniola’s exemplary leadership in higher education, his contributions to academic excellence and human capital development, and his sustained commitment to humanitarian and community service as grounds for the recognition.
Responding after receiving the award, Professor Eniola thanked the Board of Directors and the entire membership of the Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro. He described the honour as both humbling and motivating, and stressed that true leadership in the university system must translate into tangible impact in society. He reaffirmed his commitment to the Rotary ideals of service, excellence, and integrity.
The Vice-Chancellor also used the occasion to pledge his support for the full takeoff of the Rotary Club of Kabba, stating that its charter would expand transformative humanitarian services across the western senatorial district, particularly the Okun axis.
Members of the Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro commended Professor Eniola for his visionary leadership and community-focused approach, describing him as a worthy recipient of an honour reserved for individuals who demonstrate outstanding service to humanity.
