As Nigeria marks another Democracy Day, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, has extended his warmest felicitations to Nigerians, praising the citizenry for their unwavering resilience in the face of socio-economic challenges.
In a statement released on Friday, Hon. Meseko commended the enduring spirit of Nigerians, noting that the country’s democratic journey, though fraught with challenges, remains on a steady and promising trajectory.
Meseko highlighted that the sacrifices made by Nigerians to sustain uninterrupted democratic governance over the years are invaluable. He emphasized that the collective will of the people has been the ultimate shield protecting the nation’s democratic institutions.

“Democracy is a journey, not a destination. Today, we do not just celebrate the system of government; we celebrate the incredible resilience, patience, and patriotism of the Nigerian people who power this democracy,” Meseko stated.
The APC chieftain used the occasion to appeal to citizens across the nation to continue supporting the current administration. He noted that while the reforms being implemented by the government might come with temporary discomfort, they are necessary foundations for long-term prosperity.
He urged Nigerians of all faiths to lift the country and its leaders up in prayer, stressing that unity of purpose and divine guidance are crucial as the nation navigates its path to greatness.
On government reforms, he assured that the administration’s policies are deliberately designed to revamp the economy, secure lives, and infrastructure.
He reiterated the need for unity and cautioned against divisive rhetoric, urging citizens to prioritize national interest above ethnic or political affiliations.
Reaffirming the commitment of the ruling APC to delivering the dividends of democracy, Meseko expressed absolute confidence that Nigeria is on the cusp of an economic and social renaissance.
“The structural adjustments we are witnessing today are the labor pains of a new, prosperous Nigeria. With your continued patience, prayers, and unalloyed support, this nation will fully emerge on its destined path to true greatness,” he concluded.
