A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims, has met with House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Abel Egbita, in a move aimed at strengthening party unity ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The meeting, held on Friday, was described by participants as cordial and reconciliatory, with discussions centred on fostering cohesion within the APC and mapping out strategies for electoral success in Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency.
Speaking during the meeting, Egbita, popularly known as OgwuuuuuuYoooooo, pledged to work closely with Halims in the interest of the party.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting APC candidates at all levels and promised to collaborate with the Ododo/Halims Progressive Movement to promote unity, stability and victory for the party.
“The progress and growth of the APC remain paramount. Collective interests must always take precedence over individual ambitions,” Egbita was quoted as saying.
Also present at the meeting was Hon. Atayi Aminu Haruna, popularly known as Onupi, who commended Egbita for embracing reconciliation and unity.
Haruna described the alliance between the two political camps as a demonstration of political maturity, leadership and dedication to the continued growth of the APC.
According to him, both groups have resolved to work together as one family towards achieving victory for the party in the 2027 elections.
He said the objective was not only to secure electoral success but also to deepen the party’s presence across the constituency through grassroots mobilisation and sustained engagement with residents.
The meeting ended with the leaders reaffirming their commitment to party unity, grassroots development and the collective aspirations of the people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency.
