My People First Foundation, through her founder, Hajia Aishat Oyiza Omade, has intervened in the medical treatment of a young footballer in Kogi State by clearing his outstanding hospital bills and providing financial support for his healthcare.

The intervention followed reports circulating on social media about the condition of Hafiz, a footballer battling diabetes and receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja. The case had reportedly attracted public attention for weeks, with efforts ongoing to raise about ₦800,000 for his treatment.

Following the development, the Foundation approved and transferred the sum of ₦1,000,000 to support the patient’s treatment and other urgent medical needs.

The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian services, healthcare support, and interventions aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable persons and young people across communities.

The organisation also disclosed that it is currently sponsoring the treatment and surgery of a police officer who sustained severe injuries after being shot by kidnappers in 2022 and is presently undergoing medical care in Kano.

According to the management of the Foundation, the organisation remains committed to initiatives that promote hope, compassion, and support for people facing critical health and social challenges.
