The National Democratic Congress, Kogi state chapter, says six former local government party chairmen of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has joined NDC in the state.

State Leader of NDC, Hon. Ajodo Onuh, made this known in a statement on Friday.

Ajodo said the NDC momentum is unstoppable in Kogi state.

“Recently in Kogi West, six former local government ADC chairmen resigned from their party and joined the NDC, collapsing their entire old structures into the National Democratic Congress. It is indeed a timely decision as we continue to reinforce at the grassroot.

“Their combined resignation is as a result of the unending crises in the ADC, which in furtherance has demoralized the populace and thereby gave room for people to seek for a viable option, and the NDC is a reliable party to join,” he said.

Hon. Ajodo Onuh encouraged the new entrants to uphold the slogan of the NDC, which is “service to the people”, at all times in their character, approach and dealings.

“The former Chairmen that appended their signatures are: Andrew Olayinka – Kabba, Akindele Ojo – Ijumu, Olaniran Ayo – Mopa, Sunday Dada – Yagba East, Ayomide Olayinka – Yagba West, and Hon. Hassan Yusuf – Kogi LGA.

“This is a huge addition to the NDC Kogi State chapter. We will continue to push and struggle accordingly, with the 2027 general elections in view,” Ajodo added.
